Help I'm Stuck

Need help, I have been having a real battle for the past month. I stay the same then I lose .6

Any ideas on how to give myself the jump start I need again. These last 5 pounds are killing me. And I know that 5 pounds really isn't going to make a big difference in my appearance but I need to get there for me. As you all know we struggle every day and I want to be able to say "yes... I finally did it"

Any ideas?????????????

Push yourself to do 10 more minutes of exercise maybe?

Are you doing points or Core?  Sometime switching to the other even for a week is suppose to help.  I have a problem doing Core with my schedule, but I did try it for a week or so awhile back and it did get me to the 26 lb mark.   Just a thought.

I am doing the points and have done well so far. I don't think I could try the core, I am such a picky eater and the fact that I don't eat veggies doesn't help.

I was so mad the other day I had pizza, I know I can eat it but I had a little more than I should have. I figured "what the heck maybe it will give my body a boost or something". I was good on turkey day and had low point dessert. I guess I will have to see when I go Wed to weight in.

People say the last 5 are the hardest to lose. I guess they are right.

We've all got "fed up" and done that before...so you are in good company.  What does your leader say?

My leader got all the way to 5 lbs of her goal the first time she did WW and quit.  She went back and lost that 5.  She said she had to point her way all the way that time (like 0.3, 0.4, etc), but she did it.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

It sounds like you've done great so far! Be patient with yourself and don't get discouraged!

I know that 6/10th of a pound doesn't sound like alot...but that's about 2 1/2 sticks of butter! That's not too bad when you imagine it on your waist or hips! You're losing fat now...not water, so it's just not going to come off as fast. Everyone struggles with this when they are close to goal (I know that doesn't make it easier...but know that you're not alone).

Here are a few ideas you might try to jumpstart your body!

Try incorporating some Core ideas into your Flex plan. For instance, only have bread or potato or rice once a day. Try to eat more whole, less processed foods. Eat whole grains, like brown rice and whole grain pasta instead of the more refined white sugar ones.

Try adding a fiber supplement to your diet everyday...that really helps. Boost your water intake and try exercising a bit more. Also, cut out diet soda and salt as much as possible.

A lady in our group cut out diet soda and lost 6 lbs! My friend April cut way back on her diet soda and lost 4 lbs last week...and she said she wasn't even "being good".

DRINK YOUR WATER...AND THEN DRINK SOME MORE!!! I know that's really hard, but we build up sooty residue around our fat cells when we diet. You must wash that soot away or it's hard to burn the remaining fat! It's like trying to burn wet wood! Also, if you don't drink enough water then your body will make (and retain) it's own! Read Why Drink Water...from WW.com

Are you weighing your food or just "eyeballing it". Check out the portion primer to be sure you're not eating too much! Portion Primer

Are you planning your daily menu in advance and are you writting everything down? Remember, If you bite it you write it!

Keep it up and you will get there! Please keep us posted...OK? Blessings, Colette

Thanks for the advice. After reading I think I may not be drinking as much water as I should. I was never a water drinker and only drank soda but when i started ww I stopped .But now that the cooler weather is here i am not drinking as much . I am going to give that a try.

Thanks for the encouragement. At a time when I am so discouraged it is good to hear positive remarks. So I will keep on going and get through this rough time.I have worked too hard and too long for this. At least I know when I do get to maintainance I should have no problem. Or so I hope.

Will keep you posted weigh in day is wed. Wish me luck!!!!
