Not Good...Not Good at All...but...Moving On!

Well...what can I say? It was bad...very, very, very bad. I gained 4.4 this week.

I'm putting it behind me though...and moving on. I talked to my leader about it because I was very good this week.

She asked if I'd done anything differenly than I normally do. I thought about it and said, yes. I've been eating salads and soups and extra veggies. I've been having popcorn for a snack at night instead of my 2 point oreo crisps. I did buy a bag of Fat Free Potato chips and I've been eating those at lunch.

I am very swollen, my ankles, fingers...everything. So, we thought it might be the extra sodium in the soups, salad dressings, the pickled vegetables I've been adding to the salads and the chips. I came home and figured up the sodium content...well...I've been getting about 3 times the sodium that I normally have. BINGO!

So, tomorrow is shopping day and the chips, pickled veggies and canned soups are off the list! I'm making my own soups and mixing my own salad dressings. I am thinking this is the problem and it's fixable.

Boy...I'm really going to miss those chips!

On the good side...my friends lost AMAZING amounts of weight. Sara lost over 8 pounds, Shannon lost over 9 pounds and Kyle lost over 3 pounds!!! I'm sooooo proud of them! I just had to brag on them...they are doing awesome! Congrats to them!

Have a great week everyone! Blessings...Colette

I am soooooo sorry sweetie!!!!!  But at least you figured out what it was and it is something you can do.  According to my scale nothing has happened again this week...I'll find out tomorrow night.

I know what you mean about missing stuff....I love salty stuff!!!!  So I have to watch it, too.

You can do this!!!!!!I believe in you!!!!!

I have been good this week, not in the working out part though but throwing freight is a workout in an of itself.  I haven't been eating alot of candy. I have been really good  about only having one piece a day.  Those pickled veggies are very salty,  for a good apple dip, combine 1 cup brown sugar and 1 16oz container of ff sour cream. 2T has 1Point and you can dip any fruit into it.

My weight in is tomorrow. There are something coming down the pipe at work and I am not happy about it.  I think that some people need to get their head out the the deeper cravasses of their body and that is just at the head office in Bentonville.

AnnaLee...are you talking about the uniform dress code at WalMart or some other brainiac idea from Bentonville? My hubby is ok with the uniforms, since it's pretty much what he already wears to work...and they're giving him a clothing allowance for the shirts. You never know what WalMart is going to come up with do you? I know they've been running my poor Larry ragged...and he lost his help during the day...she quit. So, now he runs two big departments all by himself and they wonder why things don't all get done!

Anyway, good for you AnnaLee on only eating one candy a day...and "slinging freight" as my hubby calls it...IS a workout!

I acutally lost 2 lbs since yesterday...according to my scale. So, I guess cutting out the salt yesterday and increasing the water (and being a points Nazi) helped. I'm being sooooo goooood My friend Michelle at work, brought me a container of Mrs. Dash Italian Seasoning and a low salt seasoning called Spike. She heard me telling another girl about my needing to cut out sodium, so she went to the grocery store on break and bought those for me...isn't that sweet? I'm so blessed with wonderful friends.

Well...off to get ready for work and make the boys dinner. They're having turkey roast, stuffing and broccoli...I'm having a veggie delight sandwich from Subway...Mamma's payday treat!

Love ya'll....Colette

I talked to my store manager today when I picked up my check.  He said that he was moving all overnight cashiers to the floor for two reasons, one, There are three other cashiers that don't do anything. He has observed this when he works overnights.  (He spend one a week a month overnight) He saw that I can clear 1-2 pallets of breakpack by myself and run a register at the same time and the three he is targeting might have 1/2 a pallet done and "loudly discuss" who turn it it as a register. My Items scanned per hour (IPH) is well over 400.  today he pulled it up and I got my 500 IPH pin becuase it was 599 items scanned with 100% accuracy. IN his plan, I would be the only remaining cashier up front. I voiced my concerned that the local AFB has just recieved orders to ship out to Iraq  in decmember and we have alot of parents coming in off base to get christams going before spouses leave. He didn't notice that but he would look into it.  The only problem with the dress code is that I bleed like stuck pig when AF is here. Wearing light colored pants is  non doable for those 5-7 days. and I HATE the reformed attendance policy.
