I have found that the parking lot at the store I work at has a 1/2 mile radius.  So on my breaks,  I walk twice around the parking lot, That is one mile. My breaks are 15 minutes so a 12 minute mile is what is recommended. That gives me a chance to use the restroom. I work overnight as a cashier as my store is 24 hours. While the crowds die down about 2 AM, we go help the crew that keeps the shelves stocked so I get in my weight "Training"  stocking shelves.  Not to mention all the going back to recieving at both sides to retrieve items or to do returns.

Oh and walking outside at night?  It's cool, hardly any traffic and my CSM was concerned so she gives me her walkie talkie so if something does happen I can alert someone inside the store.  Of course there are aways the smokers outside too.
