No it was NOT a good week!!! I gained...and not just 0.8 this time...but 1.2!!!!
No...I'm not really quitting! But last night I almost didn't stay for the meeting. But I did....found out a couple of my friends gained some, too. I had to wait for Christy to get out of dance anyway! Still I was very upset.
And yes, I was bad afterwards...and really didn't care. I went my McDonalds and got a Big n Tasty (with ketchup, mustard and pickle only) and a fry. Then I went by our doughnut place (we sell their wonderful donuts at our store...hate to say it Coe...but we like them better than Krispy Kreme!) and got a cinnamon crunch donut! I ate it all and enjoyed every bite!!!!
HOWEVER....before you get the wet noodle from MrsP, Coe ...I got up and did my Pilates this morning. And I am starting over. I did not shop to go on Core when I did the grocery shopping, so I will finish the week doing Points. If I don't notice a difference on my scales this week, I will shop Monday to start doing Core on Wednesday. Have I confused you yet?
David thinks it has to do with the high blood sugars I had Monday morning. So I am really going to buckle down on those this week as well. Also I know sleep has to do with weigh loss as well as stress (that also affectst the blood sugars). We are going on a couple's retreat this weekend while my dad watches the girls and we should hear something about the store this week....very possibly today...so that will help with the stress levels...and I should be able to get the right amount of sleep since we normally don't make quick trips to Cleveland like we did Sunday.
I'll get there....'cause I am worth it!!!!!!!!!

AMEN TO THAT...YES YOU ARE!!! Honey, we all have a bad week (some of us...like me...have more than one). Been there, done that, got the t-shirt! Don't beat yourself up. When I have a bad week and I go berzerk at the drive through (been known to happen ) I enjoy every bite and then get back on the wagon. Sometimes, a gain can make us even more determined to stay on program. It can be a motivating experience.
No wet noodles for you...just hugs (((CHELLE)))!!!
Next week will be better! You can probably go on Core without doing alot differently in your shopping. I just use fat free cheese and plain yogurt...whole grain pasta and lite bread (Wonder makes a bread that is 1 pt for 2 slices) Eventhough we don't get bread on Core, you can use your extra points for it...it's really not as hard to stay on as folks think. You just have to think outside the box sometimes! LOL...
Have a great week and I know that things will get better when your stress level goes down. I wouldn't be suprised if this gain is a result from your sugars being high. You're fighting an extra battle with the diabetes honey, so please don't get discouraged...you've come so far! Love you, Coe

My biggest thing with the shopping is that we use quite a few of the frozen Smart Ones and Lean Cusine dinners for lunch.
I started looking over the Core list last night (while enjoying my splurge LOL ) and it will be do-able..just need to think that way!
Thanks for your wonderful support!!! I couldn't do it without it!!!!

You'll do fine! I wish WW would come out with some Core Smart Ones dinners, but those extra points come in handy when you want one for a fast meal. I take them to work sometimes...and they are sooooo goooood!
Oh, here's a Core tip...when buying fat free cheese, avoid anything except the Kraft Free shredded fat free cheese. Their's is the only kind I've found that tastes good...and not like a vinyl tablecloth! The Kraft free melts pretty well (still have to spray it with Pam or Spray Parkay to keep it soft if it's on the top layer of a casserole) but it even makes good grilled cheese sandwiches. I love it and use it for the whole family now. They don't even know it's fat free...goood stuff!
Love ya girl, Coe

I am really surprised at how much you can eat....but I am such a BIG bread person...that will be the hard thing! I do use the Healthy Life bread that is 2 pieces for 1 pt and that helps.
