It has been a difficult week for our family. My mom's best friend of over 35 yrs and my second mom passed away early Wed. morning. The funeral was yesterday. It was hard, but I know where she is and know she is rejoicing in heaven.
Our anniversary is coming up on the 13th (15 yrs). Due to spring break for our girls dance and our youngest Spanish class, we are taking off later this week. My sister is watching our girls and we are slipping away for a couple days. Wish it could be longer, but with the new job David has to work 6 months before taking vacation days and this will be month 5, but he is going to work Tuesday (his normal day off) and get off Friday. So we can take off Thursday night and be back Saturday night. Sunday is considered a day of work for an associate pastor, so we have to be back for services.
Speaking of which I had better get myself ready so I won't be late today.
Oh...the WW thing is going nowhere right now. I plan on trying to hit it hard after we get back. But I haven't been able to eat a lot due to sickness and stress...so I have lost some...but not the healthy way.

Hey Girlies!!! I just popped in to do a little much needed maitenance and rearranging of recipes and thought I'd say hi....HI!
Sammy and I are doing great! I'm taking chemo every other week and so far I havn't had any side effects. They say I won't even lose my hair. I'm eating again and feeling stronger every day, no pain to speak of and....(drumroll please)... I am planning on going back to work the first part of April! yeah me!
On the weight loss front, I've lost a ton...but NOT the way I wanted to! I strongly advise WW over the way I'm doing it....-60 lbs since the first of December. The doctor doesn't want me to lose anymore right now (THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!!! ) so I'm having to eat more. I'm in a size 14 now...what I wore 27 years ago in college. I bought a new outfit the other day and when I tried it on and turned sideways, I thought another woman had jumped into the mirror, cause that couldn't be me. It was.
So, the news is that I'm hanging in there. I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter and Spring! Enjoy...I miss you all and I'm praying for you're weight loss. Spring is a time of new beginnings, so it's the perfect time to get back on the bandwagon.

David and I are starting today. Matter of fact I'm leaving in a few minutes to start our workout with Wil...our "son" and torture master!!!! LOL David has off Tues so it is a good time.
I'm also going to the store today...so I hope to start posting my menus again tomorrow....keeping up with what I eat sure does help!!!!

I put some new recipes up the other day, and plan on putting more up today. It's a cold, rainy St. Patty's day here in KC and I think a nice pot of tea, gobs of great WW friendly WW recipes and my computer are the perfect way to spend it!
Keep us posted! Hopefully, people will start drifting back to the Skinny Cook and we can get our support group back!

Oh...have a bit of exciting news....David took me shopping the weekend before this one....I got into a dress that was a 12!!!!!! I'm still pretty much in a 14...but I was so excited when that one fit!!! Yea!!!!
