The bad news and the good news....


Ok the bad news is I gained 2 lbs!    BUT...My body fat stayed the same which means the weigh I gained was muscle not fat.  My BMI did go up a bit, but he is more interested in my body fat coming down, so he was happy.  He knew I had splurged some over the weekend and said if I hadn't done that it would have been better results.  He does tell me (which is against what WW says to an extent...unless that is the day you use your 35 weekly pts on Flex) to allow myself one "sin day" to eat as I want.  I kinda allowed myself 2 this weekend! 

Overall, he is proud of me.  On my measurements, my chest (yea!) and hips (boo!) stayed the same, my waist and bicept went down 1/2 inch, and my thigh and calf went up 1/2 inch to an inch.  Wil said that was in line with my gain and backed it was muscle, too.

He also has been telling us, he wants us to help with the training down the road...including him doing a DVD with us on it!!!!  That must mean I am doing something right if he wants to use me.  So we will see how it goes!

Thanks!  He is a great friend and help!  Of course I didn't feel that way yesterday when I got up!!!  We had our church workout on Saturday and I was sooooo sore yesterday!  I haven't been that sore in awhile!

He is suppose to resend me all the workouts he has given us, so maybe I could post some whenever he gets them to me.  I lost the others and he works you up.  I did find out (from our dh...he doesn't tell Kim and I this too much....I guess he figures we won't work as hard or something) that he tells his "younger" clients (the 20s age group) that we are doing better than them!!!!  confused biggrin  WOW!!!!  Makes me feel good!

I sure wouldn't mind gaining if I knew it was muscle...cause muscle burns fat and that's a bonus! I'm so impressed, wish I had your determination to keep working out. I'd buy a dvd with you on it..and I'd use it too!

You guys are making me blush!!!

I am going to try something different with my eating though.  I looked over the site my friend Holly (she has a dr degree in nutrition) and I'm going to try following that for a little while.  It breaks down the grains, proteins, veggies, fruits, etc. that I need for the day to lose weight according to my info.  I'm going to try it for awhile to "jumpstart" me.  It will kinda be like Core in a way.

If you think about me between 6:30-7:20....pray for me!!!!!!   It's workout day!!!!!

He was 10 min late getting there so it was just 30 minutes....but oh what a 30 minutes!!!!!

THEN we got our new workouts yesterday!!!! pleaseno He has us doing exercises on Wed (today!) for 2 min at a time. For instance: push-ups, shoulder shrugs (with weights), dips (with feet on a chair), crunches (with legs straight in the air), and step ups for 2 minutes each AND THEN do the whole thing again!!! And run 1/2 mile today. He did say on yucky days (like today...rainy) we can run in place for 7 minutes. So I am exhausted!!!!

Oh, well, it will all be worth it one day! biggrin
