We call this "Pizza Burger" around our house because our son won't eat anything called "Veal Parmasana"...but he'll eat most things with the word "Pizza" in the title! This is one of his favorite meals...and my DH's too. It's really good. We use the frozen breaded veal steaks from Sam's Club. This is an easy meal to prepare on a busy day. Enjoy! Colette
Serve over spaghetti (extra points) or with a side salad or vegetable.
I use a whole can of the DelMonte Traditional Spaghetti Sauce if I'm serving this with pasta. 1/2 cup of sauce= 1 pt.
Ingredients
4 breaded veal steaks 2 Tbsp olive oil olive oil cooking spray 3 cups Del Monte Traditional Style Spaghetti Sauce 1 cup shredded fat-free mozzarella cheese 1 tsp garlic powder (or to taste) 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning (or to taste) Black Pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350*F. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray. Brown patties. Sprinkle with garlic powder, pepper and italian seasoning on both sides as they cook (oil helps seasonings stick). Turn to brown on both sides. Cover with spaghetti sauce. Bake in oven, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with the cheese. Spray fat free cheese with cooking spray to help it melt. Return to oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is completely melted and sauce is bubbling.
