Add tangy, sweet flavor to your berries with this delicious, low-calorie dessert sauce. Or try it drizzled over warmed angel food cake.
1 1/2 cup fat-free skim milk 1/4 cup sugar 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour 3/4 tsp lemon extract 2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved 1 cup blueberries
Instructions
1. Combine milk, sugar and flour in the top of a double boiler (or in a bowl) over simmering water, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens, about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon extract. Cover and refrigerate until cool. 2. Place about 1/2 cup of strawberries and 1/4 cup of blueberries into each of 4 stemmed glasses. Spoon about 1/3 cup of lemon sauce into each cup.
