COLETTE'S GETTING FRUSTRATED!!!

Ok...I havn't gone to weigh in this week...yet...that's coming tomorrow (Friday)...but my home scale ain't movin! Actually...it's moving a little up...a little down...a little up...a little down! I've been being so good, , but I can't exercise because my knee is just now starting to get better.

I think I may just say "what the heck" and go and try to walk some today! It's so darned FRUSTRATING!!!

Thanks...just had to vent a little. I'll be ok...finding my happy place...breathe in...breathe out...happy place...happy place.......

What do you do when this happens?

Blessings...Colette

Honey....I'm soooooo sorry.  I feel for you...esp after the last month.  I've done the same thing.

I definitely believe that not being able to exercise has a lot to do with it.  You probably have hit a plateau, too.  If you are still doing it when your leader gets back, talk to her.

I wish I could offer more advice, but I am at a loss.  But I can pray....and I am doing it for you sister!!!!  Love you!!!!

Thanks Chelle! Funny...this made me decide to switch to the Flex Plan. I don't weigh in until tomorrow but my usual day is Wednesday...and I was under my points target yesterday too...so I guess it's ok to switch today.

I feel so much better after deciding to do the Flex program. It's opening up a new world of food options to me...and that's good. I think maybe I was getting bored, and that leads to problems.

So, here we go!

I just picked up a salad from McD's for lunch...but I had a good breakfast so I'm not even hungry. May take it for dinner with soup and sandwich.

The nurse called from school and I just got back from picking Sam up...he got sick at school. Here we go again! Poor little guy...he's in bed, playing video games. It looks like a long weekend for him. Good thing my sister cancelled us coming this weekend (they nursing home moved their move in date back one week).

It's a good thing that I got my walk in before the nurse called. I walked a shorter route than usual, my knee did fine, but I didn't want to push it too far too fast. I earned 1 activity point...and I'm not going to use it! Every little bit helps!

Thanks for your encouragement honey. It's naptime for me Love ya, Colette

I'm trying a new cereal that I got this week that has 14 grams fiber in a serving.  Only I can't remember what it is right now!    It's at the store.  I'll post tomorrow what it is.  I can have 1 1/2 cups of it with 1/2 cup milk and a 6 inch banana with it for 2 pts!

I'll be praying for poor little Sam!

How's your sis doing by the way?  You can PM me if you need to on that one.

Love you!

Wow! You mean with the banana it's only 2 points? I'd love to know what that cereal is. Now I can eat the WW cinnamon cereal and the almond vanilla too! Before I didn't want to spend the extra points on it...but I loved it!

Sam is feeling alot better this morning. His fever broke last night and it's hard to keep him in bed and not bouncing around this morning...lol...kids are amazing! He said he's not hungry yet, maybe I'll let him have some oatmeal for breakfast and chicken noodle soup for lunch and supper. Don't want him to push it too much.

My Sister seems to be doing ok. I talked to her Wednesday and she seemed upbeat. I think she's just taking a wait and see attitude. If he screws up once more, she can call the attorney and have her file the papers. I guess we'll be going out there next weekend...not sure...it always seems to get cancelled with things so up in the air. But, we're supposed to move Mom next Sat...we'll see.

Have a wonderful day honey...Love ya, Colette

PS: I'm sooooo lovin' the Flex Plan!

YUM!!!  The WW cereal sounds yummy!  Do you have to get that at the meetings?

The cereal I am eating right now is Fiber One Honey Clusters.  And yes, WITH the banana and milk it is 2 pts!  I add a little artificial sweetner to mine, but you may not need to.  Like I said 14 g fiber a serving!!!!  It keeps me full!

YOU CAN DO IT!

Chelle...no, you don't have to get the WW cereal at meeting, but I have trouble finding it in the store. I can get it at the Hy-Vee store (don't think you have them in TN...it's an Iowa based chain). It's pretty good..I like the cinnamon one alot...even if it's a little like eating air...it's cinnamon flavored air!

I will try the Fiber One. It's probably so low in points because of the high fiber. That's great! Always looking for something new and yummy!

Have a good day...Love ya, Colette

It's very filling, too.  I didn't get hungry at all today until lunch.

Love you!

Hi ladies. Newbie here. Just gonna jump right in on this one! hehe.

I bought the Fiber One cereal yesterday! I saw the Honey Clusters next to the original box, but thought it has more points. I also bought bananas and have splenda to go with it. I haven't tried this cereal before, and I must say, it doesn't look very tasty...as it resembles droppings of some sort...SORRY! I plan to try it tomorrow. If it's bad, I'm running back for the Fiber One Honey Clusters Chelle!

OH and I'm glad the Flex plan is working out for you Colette! It's such a big deal for me to have few restrictions. Flex is great that way! And for me, I stopped weighing at home since I weigh at my meeting every week. It just gets too frustrating for me to step on the scale so often.

Droppings......lol...! Yep...you're gonna fit in just fine around here!

I think I will definately try that Fiber One when I go to the store this week!

I am really liking the Flex plan...I ate Pizza Hut last night and lost 4 ounces according to my scale. Gotta love a program like that!

I have thought about not weighing...but I seem to have seperation anxiety when I don't use it. I think it's a love/hate thing!

You know, come to think of it...I lost weight faster when I wasn't weighing every day and my scale has led me astray more than once. If I lost I tend to think...oh...I can eat! Bad Colette...bad, bad girl!

I may just have to try NOT weighing at home for a while...see if that helps me.

Thanks ladies! Colette

Well I tried the fiber droppings this morning. With a banana and a pack of splenda it was quite tasty!! AND filling! =)

Colette, stepping on the scales is like imprisonment to me. I'm trapped by the darn thing! To do it everyday adds pressure, anxiety, and mush too often disappointment. Does a lot of damage to be just a piece of hardware, if you ask me! Some people can only stay on track my stepping on it everyday, and you might be one of them. I use to do that, too. It became an obsession. FIRST THING every morning.....pee, then weigh! Maddening, really! I finally discovered that doing it once a week keeps me on target just as much as doing it everyday did. BUT I can't go longer than a week, or I start slipping and losing focus.

Try the once a week thing. You just might be pleasantly surprised at the end of the week!

I think you're right about the scale. I'll try it! I'm in the same routine...first thing...go to the bathroom and then weigh. Sometimes I weigh in the middle of the day to see if I'm gaining too much...and at night...figuring that I'll lose at least 2 lbs overnight...so I guess it's to see how good I've been all day. I think I'm a bit obsessed!

I'm also going through menopause and that's totally messing my system up! I'm gaining water weight but not having any monthly release from it! It's very frustrating!

Thanks for your input...I need it and really appreciate it. Sometimes all we need is another perspective on a situation...that can make all the difference!

Blessings...Colette

Funny how we seem to all think alike....only I weigh after my shower!  My hands are a bit puffy after I first get up, so I exercise, pee, take my shower and then weigh!  If I weigh before the shower (whether I exercise or not first) I weigh more.  Weird huh?  But my hands aren't as puffy then either.

I am trying to wait and weigh on Mondays to see and then I do weigh on Tuesday morning, cause even thought my meeting isn't until that evening, when I leave around 6 to head into work I don't go home until after WW and Christy's dance class (which gets out at 7:30pm).  So I weigh with nothing on and then put what I am wearing on to make sure it isn't over 2 lbs.  LOL!!!

RE: COLETTE'S GETTING FRUSTRATED!!!

3 points is still not bad if that's a good tasting cereal.

The original Fiber One (ya know, the droppings, hehe) it is 0 points, 1 point with 1/2 c skim milk! Add a banana and a pack of spenda on top, pretty good!
