Welcome Weight Watchers!

Hello! Let me introduce myself...my name is Colette and I'm a Weight Watcher's member. I've lost over 65 pounds on the Weight Watchers program.

I love Weight Watchers and I have been having fun coming up with recipes. The recipes on this site are configured for the WW program. If you are doing Core, please try to post flex points values and vice versa...tell if it's also a Core recipe. That way, everyone will be covered and not have to get out our little slide rules and books all the time!

We do our best to be sure that all points values and information is accurate. Please only post recipes that you have accurate points values for. If you would like to post a recipe, but aren't sure of the points value, just pm me (by clicking on my name) and send it to me. I can run it through the recipe builder for you. If you have the accurate nutrition information, which many sources provide, you can figure it using your slide rule and feel free to post it.

I hope that you enjoy these recipes and that your WW program will go well. Let's support eachother, share recipes, prayers and dreams for a healthier future.

Blessings...Colette

for making this site, Dear Coe!  I am soooooo excited about it!!!!!

My name is Michelle (or Chelle or Shelly... I answer to them all!) and I have been on WW for 9 weeks now and have lost 10.6 pounds.  I weigh tonight so hopefully it is less than that.    I have about 40.6 to get to my goal weight.  I am doing Flex Points right now.

My DH, David, is doing the program with me and as of Sunday he had lost 30 lbs!!  I'm sooooo proud!!!!  I don't know if I want to hit him or hug him!!!!  LOL

I'll be posting recipes I get at my group, too!

Welcome Ladies! I'm so glad to have you here, and yes...please share this site with your WW friends. I hope WW doesn't get mad at me for starting this, but my computer won't let me log into Bootcamp Buddies, it just kicks me out of the program when I try to sign up...and I need some support from my online friends!

You both are doing great...and Chelle...tell David I said "Way to Go!" how cool is that?

The new recipes we try will keep us motivated and keep us from getting bored...and that's a good thing. We can do this ladies...we WILL do this!

I'm praying for us all...be sure to post your progress (if you want to...no pressure) under the "How'd ya do?" category. I weigh in tomorrow (Wed)...so we'll see. I've been kinda naughty this week...I made a Coke glazed ham for Sunday dinner...and I can't stay out of the darned thing!

Be sure to check out some of the Thanksgiving recipes...like crustless pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice cupcakes (Chelle's and my favorite!) and the Cranberry Fruit Conserve recipe I posted...only 1 point for 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce, not bad!

We'll see. Have a great day ladies. Love, Coe

Hi Everyone,

I came across this site as I was looking for new WW receipts.   Boy am I glad I found you all!

Here is a little about myself, my husband and I just moved to a new State, Nebraska, from Texas, not to fond of the weather! We just built our first house, adopted a pup, and began new jobs.   What a way to start out the year!

I've been off and on WW for almost a year, and I decided that I need to stick to it this year so I am updating my books.   I am really looking forward to this year and to get the healthy life I have always wanted.

Thanks for letting me join this support group, I need it.

Hello everyone,

My name is Coleen.  I started WW last Tuesday.  So far this week has been a little tough.  Am not having problems figuring out the points, just disappointed each time I figure them on my favorites.  Taking a deep breath and moving on.  Yesterday at work I gave away a snicker bar, a three muskateer bar and and bag of wheat thins.  Who knew the wheat thins were more points than the other two.  My staff think that I've lost it.  I have made a commitment to me this year.  My first goal is to see 199 again.  That is 16.6 pounds away.  I need all the ideas and encouragement that I can get.

Can't wait to read all the other great posts and look through the recipes.

Thanx,

Coleen

Welcome Coleen! We're so glad to have you here! I just want to encourage you to stay with it...it's a long road but we're on it together. The first week is one of the hardest, you're trying to figure things out and letting go of old habits.

Hopefully, our recipes will help. The points have been figured for you and there is so much variety that you won't get bored. Many of the recipes are for treats and special things that you might have thought that you'd have to give up...but that's not so. We can enjoy our favorites, we just have to renovate the recipes.

We don't stand on ceremony here...we're a new site and are still getting to know eachother, so jump in!

If I can do anything to help, please private message me by clicking on my name or leave me a post in the "Let's Chat" forum.

Good luck and have a great week! Love, Colette

to you Coleen!  Coe has done a GREAT job in helping all of us by putting these recipes on here.  It has helped me sooooo much....esp with my sweet tooth.

It you like the Wheat Thins, try the 100 calorie packs.  They are 2 points.  I use the 100 calorie packs A LOT....esp. the Chips Ahoy ones!  And (as far as I know) they are all 2 pts.

We all have to start somewhere and it is hard at first.  I know the first few day trying to find something I could eat without blowing a ton of points was so hard.  My dh is doing this with me (he is unable to go to the meetings though) and we both thought we were starving the first day or so.  We even split a small can of grean beans that night!!!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

Hi, I'm Kassidy. A friend suggested I check out this board, and I really like it.

I joined WW three weeks ago and have lost 10.4 pounds so far. 16 more before I reach my 10% starting goal. I am following the Flex Plan. I have a long road ahead of me still, but this is a great new start! Since last May I've lost about 40 lbs. I was getting stuck in a rut and needed something new. This was it. I already feel like I can stick with this for life.

A little about me:

Married, with one child...my sweet angel of a daughter, hehe.

Starting weight in May 2005: 289

Starting WW weight: 259.2

Current weight: 248.8

I am 33 years old. I am a full-time student, graduating in December with a degree in elementary education. I can't wait to teach!

I love watching movies, shopping, and scrapbooking!!

I look forward to posting with you guys!!

Hello and thanks for inviting me Coe!

Nice to meet you all and read about your experiences so far.

My name is Sheri (or feather) and I am 36 yo mother of three wonderful children ages 14, 15, and 16 and married to a wonderful man that I love dearly.

I started WW August 18 with a weight of 210 at 5'2" wearing a size 16/18

My goal is 110-115 and wearing a size 0/2

I am currently 136 in a size 2/4 so I am getting there!

It has been a very long road but well worth it.

I shall try to post regularly but sometimes life gets in the way

A big thumbs up to everyone and keep up the good work!

Then let me say.....WOW!!!!!!!!!  You have done GREAT!!!!!  What an inspiration to the rest of us!  I'm 5'2" as well...and am shooting for the upper end of the scale.  I was 112 size 6 when I married my sweet hubby and was a bit on the thin side then, so shooting a big higher.  I admire you Feather!!!!!  You are awesome!!!!!

Welcome Feather! I'm so glad that you are here and I really look forward to trying your yummy recipes. You have alot to teach us about making the program work for us...you're a real inspiration!

I have to say that I work with Feather...and she is so tiny and pretty...(even if she is a tall girl...I'm only 5' 1.5" tall... so you all are taller than me! ) I aspire someday to looking like Feather!

I hope you enjoy your time here and that we can share not only recipes, but support and inspiration with eachother. That's the way to success...we're in this together!

If you need anything, have questions or ideas please feel free to pm me at any time (or see me at work) It's good to have you!

Love, Coe (aka...Colette...Samzmom...Blonde in Training )

Hello Everyone. I am also new to this and would like to be known as somebodiesgramma.
I have been struggling to keep my weight down most of my life. Married 50 years. I have 3 Children, 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. I recently joined WW. in order to support and help my Daughter who sounds very much like most of you, and struggles with every pound. Being a Diabetic it has been a way of life for me for some years now. but we all get discouraged at times and would like to break out. I have a passion for cooking and had a small catering and Chef business in Whistler BC. My husband and I are now retired.
I look forward to sharing recipes with you. "You must begin to think of yourself, as becoming the person you want to be." David Viscott.

Welcome! We're so glad to have you here! Good luck on your weight loss and please know that we're here for you. Weight Watchers is a great program and I know you'll enjoy it!

First, let me introduce myself, I'm Colette (aka...Coe, CoezyWoezy, Shorty....) I pretty much answer to anything! I'm the moderator of this site and Chelle is co-mod. If you have questions please feel free to click on our highlighted names and send us a private message or just post in chat. The members here are very knowledgable and have lots of great advice.

Make yourself at home and jump in. I'm really looking forward to trying some of your recipes! If you have the WW e-tools, you'll really enjoy the recipe builder feature. I love reconstructing my favorite recipes to make them more WW friendly, by using the recipe builder...it lets me know how much a serving of my favorite recipes really is.

Hope to see you around here often. Blessings,

Let me join Coe in welcoming you!  Hopefully we can be a support for you.  This is a great group of people!

Let me also say that this is doable with diabetes.  I have it myself.  I have had it for 26 yrs this month.  My sugars have actually done better on this program.

My hubby is not a member of WW but is doing this with me and has lost 71 lbs on it.

A great place for encouragement, too, is the pictures.  When you see how far people have come, it truly inpires you!

Make yourself at home.  And as Coe said, please don't hesitate to ask questions.  We will do our best to answer them or find someone who can.

Hi, Im Rosemary, Had visited here a year ago--and then tried to find this site last night--had a hard time but finally did--sort of new at this computer thing--so have a little hard time finding my way around--wasnt sure how to post--I had first joined Weight Watchers in 1969-( actually have my first WW book with the recipes--everyone lost weight easier back then, with the old diet--but it wasnt that palatable)-and thru the yrs. quit, and joined ,for about 10 times---Im am now going to follow the CORE diet--I am  member of TOPS--but we can use any diet we want--so Im am back to Weight Watchers---I really like the CORE way of eating--Im at about 232 pounds now--have kept off about 72 pounds--now have about 60 more pounds to lose--have had a slight stall in my eating program, due to moving after 38 yrs. ,living in same house--So now am trying to motivate myself into eating CORE again--Looking thru lots of WW recipes on different sites---Am from California--64 yrs. old--married  almost 8 yrs.(2nd time-first DH died 1994)--have 1 son, 39 yrs.old--just married last yr. ---have a 8 yr.old Tabby cat--Charlotte--Really would like to lose this weight before I get tooooooo old--Looking for any kind of help---I guess Im in the right place, posting---if Im not let me know---Thank you.   Rosemary    smile

Welcome Rosemary!

I'm Chelle, the co-mod here.  OUr dear Coe started this site when she and I began WW a couple of years ago.  She has done awesome with the program and does Core a lot.

I have a hard time with Core, but may try it to "shake things up".  I had lost 26 lbs, but gained about 1/2 of it back over the last month or two (mainly due to some personal things my family has gone through), but I will not let it beat me.  My dear hubby, David, has done it with me.  He lost a total of 71 lbs.  He has gained a few back....but still look so great!  Check out the pic section of the board....it can be inspiring!

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you.

Hi Chelle, Thank you for responding back--I have to get my mind and body working together-- Have been thru alot these last 4 months--Losinghome to  repossesion--in fact auction on Aug. 14th--So I think when this settles down, I will be able to get more serious---One of the harder things of CORE to get used to, is no cheese, of course except FF--and I seem to crave starches alot-probably because of not eating sugar--and starch does turn into sugar---Along ago I had counted points--but thats not for me, so the CORE, I think is much easier.
I have a little hard time finding my way around the site---but will come back often, to get used to it.Hope you can see this writing--Dont know why its lighter--Thank you,   Rosemary
